At Carlsberg, we also understand that we have a responsibility to ensuring that our products are consumed in a responsible manner.
We recognise that inappropriate use of our products may have a negative impact on both the individual and on society. With this in mind, we have formulated a Consumer Issues policy that covers three areas:
1. Our commitment to offer our consumers products of the highest quality and safety is reflected through our constant focus on quality
2. Through our responsible marketing communication policy, we ensure that all our marketing and advertising materials are developed in line with our position on responsible consumption and to give our consumers fair and truthful information about our products.
3. In relation to our consumers, we are clear on beer. This means that we are open about the effects of alcohol and play a proactive role in communicating the negative effects of alcohol misuse to our consumers. We develop local initiatives and work with our partners to ensure that our products are consumed in a responsible way.
We share a common interest with society and our industry in avoiding inappropriate use of our products, and we use our consumer issues policy to guide actions to combat potential negative impact.
Our quality teams also monitor the quality and safety of our ingredients and every product from production to the end of its shelf life. Individuals involved with product development and commercial communication that are external to the Group are informed about the policy and training is provided where appropriate.
