Carlsberg Group Sales & Marketing (GSM) is looking for a highly motivated Shopper Insights Manager with international ambitions. The Shopper Insights Manager will have an important role within Group Sales & Marketing and local markets by creating insights for brand-, channel management-, sales- and innovation teams. To create the insights you will among other things work with a state of the art virtual retail research tool that is industry leading. As shopper insights plays an increasingly important strategic role in the Carlsberg Group the position aslo offers excellent opportunities to specialize within one of the most important research fields of the future. Travel to different regions and markets to facilitate, initiate and present research will be an integral part of the job. The position is based in Copenhagen and reports to the Insights Director

Position in brief:
Insights on shoppers have become a central part of the strategic planning within the Carlsberg Group making the research in this area a prioritized source of information in the planning process. The Shopper Insights Manager will be responsible for handling the research studies - from proactively initiating central projects to facilitating the right choice of methodology and developing actionable and inspiring reporting systems. Responsibilities also encompass raising the research knowledge within the area and creating best practice by supporting the development and achievement of harmonized shopper research across markets.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Facilitating and driving research and best practise in Factboy (virtual retail tool for creating shopper insights)
  • Support and implementation of research for Group Sales Marketing teams + regions and local markets
  • Responsible for driving and maintaining the Research Management Tool of Factboy
  • Creation of actionable shopper insights
  • Structure of shopper research database
  • Develop, maintain and update Shopper Insights Portal
  • Represent Insights Unit at local insights presentations within shopper area(and other relevant presentations + workshops)

Professional Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree or Bachelor from either University or Business School
  • Experience in working with retail customers
  • Some experience within research and/or channel marketing
  • Proven project management skills - independently leading numerous projects at the same time
  • Fluent in English (solid experience with communicating - verbally and in writing)
  • Experience within retail research or shopper research is a plus but not a demand

  • Curiosity for new approaches and interest in new technology
  • A solid consumer/customer & business thinking capacity
