The Group Operations team in Group Supply Chain is responsible for optimising the performance of the Supply chain network in the group through cross border sourcing, product simplification and improved planning methods.
The organisation consists of around 10 highly skilled employees and is located in Carlsberg's headquarters in Copenhagen.

The strategic purpose of the position:


Secure an improved utilization of the supply chain network, mainly in Europe, through a structured and analytical way of working and maintain the overall knowledge on production capacity and capability for the Group.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive network optimisation projects across the entire group - taking both production, logistics and commercial plans into consideration.
  • Provide the decision making basis for the key stakeholders for these projects and build concensus around the methods used.
  • Work closely with Group Logistics on prioritising the projects and the scoping of these.
  • Lead a team consisting of two highly skilled analysts.
  • Support the other projects in Group Operations as well as in GSC as such.
  • Take on ad hoc projects that falls under the responsibility of the whole team.
  • Take on a role as the consolidated owner of data and tools for the Group Operations team.

The position in brief:


The position is a senior strategic role.The main task is to lead and drive the specific production and logistics network projects that have been identified and prioritised together with top management and to provide material and act as facilitator for the decision making process. Other important tasks are:
 

  • to create the basis for sourcing plans for larger product launches.´
  • supporting the Cross border sourcing team and the Simplication team with data and analyses.
  •  identifying cross-border / international opportunities were synergies can be created.

The position reports to Group Operations Director, GSC and has 2 direct reports.

Personal qualifications
 

  • Excellent financial and analytical skills.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work with many stakeholders across the company.
  • Broad understanding of the basic Supply chain disciplines and of a production environment.
  • Ability to work on a strategic level as well as in the details.
  • High work capacity.
  • Team-orientation.
  • Diplomatic skills when dealing with operating companies and other departments.
  • Accepting travelling as "part of the job"

Professional qualifications/work experience

  • Master Sc or Business School education (Master level or equivalent) within Finance or Supply Chain.
  • Experience with strategic projects.
  • 5-10 years in an operating company / environment.
  • Fluency in English (preferably 1-2 other languages).
