The Barley Group develop and organise breeding of new barley varieties specifically for the brewing industry. Carlsberg Barley Research is currently looking for a gardener to join the group.
As gardener/horticulture technician you will be involved in greenhouse- and experimental field work, growing plants in the greenhouse, perform crosses, harvesting, electronic registration and other relevant tasks regarding handling and testing of breeding material. The job requires that you accept flexible working hours in peak seasons (planting time, harvest etc.), including some activities in connection with field work. As a team member of the Barley Group you will report to the Barley Research Director.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should posses following qualifications:
- A relevant education as gardener, horticultural technician or similar education
- Fluent in Danish and English (spoken and written)
- Min. 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably related to greenhouse, plant production
and field trial testing - Good user knowledge on Microsoft Office software

On the personal level, we expect that you are able to work independently, but also possess team player skills. You have an open mind, a positive attitude and good communication skills.
