Carlsberg believes in a balanced strategic people development portfolio. We see learning and development as a continuous process integrated in the job and not limited to training activities and courses.

We operate in an international environment with a high level of diversity and many local traditions and so need a common strategic focus on leadership and people development.

Our development portfolio has a broad focus and consists of several building blocks:

  • Talent and Graduate programmes
  • Academies for Production, Purchasing and Marketing
  • Personal Development tools
  • Sales Development
  • Project Management
  • Communications
  • Leadership Development

Carlsberg is a company with dedicated and professional people. They are key in developing a Winning Culture – one of our strategic goals for the future.

International Talent Programme

This programme is the first step on the road to taking on more senior and international positions with Carlsberg. The target group is people at senior manager level who have leadership experience and a strong business performance record.

The Talent programme was launched in 2004 and is a two-year corporate development programme in business management and leadership. The objective is to build a mobile, international talent pool of strong, competitive people with a desire to win, and to create trans-national and cross-functional networks.

It provides the 'talents' with an opportunity to learn and to grow – and Carlsberg expects them to act proactively by showing outstanding performance in their daily work.

Leadership Academy

The Leadership Academy is for people at mid manager level and provides them with a detailed insight into doing business the Carlsberg way. It also gives the participants an opportunity to build networks across functions and countries – sharing and implementing best practices.

Topics covered during the Leadership Academy programme include a variety of business operation and leadership themes.

Measuring the Carlsberg environment

Every second year, Carlsberg carries out an Employee Attitude Survey of all employees in the Carlsberg Group, to get information on employee engagement – and what affects it.

Several central and local projects have been initiated to follow up on improvement areas identified in the survey.
