Representatives of all 75 recipients were invited to a special presentation at the Lille Vega in Copenhagen, hosted by Danish TV presenter Ole Stephensen.

Grants were awarded to a wide variety of organisations, including a gospel choir from Valby, Copenhagen and a folk dancing group from Thorsager in Jutland.

To reflect its primary aims, the Foundation also marked its anniversary with a DKK 18 million grant to a major business research initiative - "What will Denmark live on - solutions for Danish trade and industry in the information society".

The initiative included three projects at leading business schools - all will have an impact on the future of Danish industry:

  • "Internationalisation and globalisation – where are we headed?" Centre for Corporate Performance, Aarhus School of Business

  • "The future demand for qualified workers in Denmark." Centre for Economics and Business Research, Copenhagen Business School

  • "Art, Competence and Competitiveness in the Danish Experience Economy." Imagine - Creative Industries Research, Copenhagen Business School
