Carlsberg Scholarships
Grants of DKK 600,000 are given every year to 10 students at science faculties in Danish Universities, who are preparing their final thesis in chemistry, biochemistry or biotechnology.
These scholarships aim to strengthen project activities and increase the number and expertise of students within these fields.
The Carlsberg Research Prize
The Carlsberg Bequest also awards an annual prize of DKK 100,000 to outstanding researchers at Danish Universities. Prizes are awarded for Biotechnology and for Chemistry on alternate years.
In 2006 the Carlsberg Research Prize for Biotechnology was awarded to Professor Daniel Otzen PhD from Aalborg University.
