Carlsberg was the first "foreign" beer introduced in Belgium in the early twentieth century. That it has become so popular in a country with such a strong beer tradition says a great deal about the brand.
Carlsberg Elephant Beer is available in bottles and Carlsberg Beer in cans, kegs and Runyon bottles. The Runyon design is so unique that it has gained a place in the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Carlsberg’s distinctive glass is designed to suit the Belgian tradition of serving each beer in a special glass that reflects its unique qualities.
In Belgium, the Carlsberg and Tuborg brands are marketed and distributed by Carlsberg Importers, in which the Carlsberg Group holds a 10% stake. The Carlsberg brand has enjoyed continued growth and has strengthened its position as premium segment leader.
