Carlsberg has been brewed in Canada since 1972 and is one of the best-known international beer brands in the country.
Carlsberg Canada Inc. was established in January 2004 and handles all the marketing activities for the Carlsberg, Tuborg and portfolio brands in Canada. The Premium Beer Company of Toronto handles sales and distribution.
Carlsberg Canada established its own sales force in January 2007 and now handles marketing and sales of Tuborg, Tetley’s and other imported speciality Group brands across Canada. In early 2008 local production of Carlsberg was halted and the brand is now fully imported from Europe along with the Tuborg, Kronenbourg, Tetley's, Baltika and Okocim brands.
