In Malta, Carlsberg has been brewed under licence by Simonds Farsons Cisk Ltd since 1981.
From its modest beginnings as a domestic brewer in 1928, Simonds Farsons Cisk has carefully developed a quality portfolio of international brands in the beer, soft drink, fruit juice and table water sectors. The brewery is the largest on the island, producing Carlsberg Beer in bottles, cans and kegs.
The Maltese enjoy drinking beer and demand is boosted by tourists who visit the island every year. Carlsberg has established a strong position as one of the dominant international premium brands.
In addition to Carlsberg the SKOL brands were introduced to the market and have within 5 years become known as one of the strongest mainstream brands on the market.
