Spain has the highest beer consumption in Southern Europe. Social events are an integral part of Spanish culture and beer plays just as important a role as wine.
Carlsberg is distributed in Spain by Grupo Mahou San Miguel, the second largest brewery group in the country.
When Carlsberg was first imported in 1957, people tended to drink beer from small, local breweries. Now, Carlsberg is the young people's choice of beer. And, as the sponsor of music and entertainment, it is Spain's party beer.
