Carlsberg and Tuborg are both medium bitter pilsners, but Carlsberg is slightly more bitter and has a more accentuated hop aroma and fruitiness. Tuborg has more acidity in the taste.
Summer apples and pine
Carlsberg is brewed using pale lager malt, bittering hops, aroma hops and Carlsberg bottom fermenting yeast. It’s the yeast and aroma hops used that make it unique.
The flavour is quite fruity with notes of hops, summer apples and pine. It has medium body and the taste has a good balance between sweetness and bitterness.
Flowers and lemon
Tuborg is brewed with pale lager malt, bittering hops and bottom fermenting yeast.
The different hops and yeast give it a different unique flavour. Tuborg has notes of flowers, lemon, barley and malt. It has medium body and the taste has a mild bitterness with some acidity – as in white wine.
