The Carlsberg Group is a significant player in the Asian markets in which we have chosen to compete.

The region comprises both old, mature Carlsberg markets (Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore) and new emerging beer markets such as China, Vietnam and India.

The Group’s exposure to the emerging markets in Asia offers considerable prospects for growth, and as such the region is considered an important contributor to the future growth of the Group.  

In 2011 Asia accounted for 18% of total volume and 12% of EBIT.
