Baltika no. 9 is a strong pilsner with a taste close to classic lager varieties. The flavour is light and there is a hint of malt, together with sweetish notes and mild hops bitterness.

History

The Baltika brand was launched in 1992, following the privatisation of the state-owned Baltika Brewery in Saint Petersburg. The Baltika brand was created as a beer that was brewed through traditional methods and lived up to the standards of the best European beers.

To ensure high quality, the brewery invested in a large reconstruction that made the Baltika brewery the most advanced in Russia.

Baltika Breweries was the first Russian brewer to export beer outside Russia and Baltika Beers are sold in more than 75 countries worldwide.
