Carls Ale was launched in 2006 and is the newest beer in the Carls series. Ale is not traditionally brewed in Denmark, where the market has been dominated by pilsner beer since the start of the 20th Century. Carls Ale holds the distinction of being one of the first Danish-brewed quality ales in the same price range as ordinary beer.
