Gintarinis is the lightest beer in the Švyturys family, it's a pilsner type beer with a light amber colour and an ABV of 4.7%.
Lithuanian beer lovers like Gintarinis for it’s fresh, slightly bitter taste and long lasting aroma of hops. In 1999 it was awarded with a gold medal in “Product of the Year” contest by Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists.
But the way into the hearts of Lithuanians was not easy for Gintarinis. When the beer was first introduced in 1995, consumers, who where used to dark and heavier beers, thought that the Svyturys brewery was playing a joke on them with this new light brew.
However, over time Gintarinis popularity grew, and today beer lovers know that there's nothing quite like Gintarinis to refresh you on a hot summer day.
