Employee engagement
 

We are interested in how our employees feel about working for Carlsberg and how engaged they are. We conduct employee engagement surveys every two years.

The most recent survey in 2007 had a response rate of 84%, an increase of 2% over 2005. For overall employee engagement, 77% of respondents answered favourably, up 4% on 2005.

Engaging with our employees enables us to gauge to what extend they appreciate and understand the culture and winning behaviours of the Carlsberg group. This then helps us to identify areas for improvement and increases their understanding of our CSR principles, as improving our overall performance in CSR is also dependent on our employees drive to meet our CSR objectives over time.

As we have grown considerably in recent years our employee data systems are fragmented. In 2009, are working to get a more detailed overview on the make-up of our workforce. 


Employee Health and Safety

We are committed to creating and consolidating safe workplaces. Our goal is that no harm arise to people (employees and contractors) as a result of our activities. We are convinced that every employee has a part to play in continuously reducing our H&S level of risks and we know that involvement of everyone is a key to succeed.

We implement our Health and Safety policy to ensure that all employees and contractors at all Carlsberg sites enjoy the same H&S standards irrespective of where they work
