As a member of the UN Global Compact, the Carlsberg Group is committed to supporting and advancing the ten principles of the United Nations Global Compact within our sphere of influence.
This includes making the principles part of our day-to-day operations and promoting the principles in relations to stakeholders such as business partners, consumers and customers.
What is the UN Global Compact?
The UN Global Compact presents a strategic platform for participants to advance their commitments to initiatives related to sustainability and corporate citizenship. Companies who join the Compact commit themselves to aligning their operations and strategies with ten universally accepted principles. Why has Carlsberg signed the Global Compact?
By signing the UN Global Compact and adhering to the ten principles, the Carlsberg Group is given an international framework to work with Corporate Social Responsibility and a tangible set of ground rules. Moreover, we send a signal to our stakeholders on the Carlsberg Group's commitment to operate according to the ten principles and internationally accepted conventions and values. Being a member of the UN Global Compact network furthermore enables us to share experiences and learn from other member organisations.
