Public Image of Chinese Industry Golden Image Award of Environmental Protection
Carlsberg China's continued dedication to improve sustainable water use has earned the brewery the prestigious 'Public Image of Chinese Industry Golden Image Award of Environmental Protection'.
As stated by the award presenter, “The brewing process tends to use too much energy and produce excessive waste. Saving water is necessary and beneficial to the sustainable development of both the breweries and society. Carlsberg China’s success has proven to us exactly that an eco-friendly business can also be profitable.”
Carlsberg China has invested a lot into state-of-the-art equipments and techniques that reclaim steam and recycle water from bottle cleaning. As a result, water consumption in the entire brewing process has been significantly reduced. An effective water treatment system is in use to purify waste water and turn it into reusable water. In addition, Carlsberg China is dedicated to making the best out of waste water, which falls directly in line with Carlsberg's priority to maximize resources while minimizing waste throughout all business operations.
