The award was given at a job fair held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan's capital. The fair, called "Tashkent invites for a job", was organised jointly by the Japanese and Uzbekistan Human Resources Development Center, “A-club” and the recruitment web portal, Superjob.

More than 70 local and international companies were invited to participate in the job fair, which was organized in order to promote employment opportunities and leading companies in Uzbekistan. Along with seven other companies in Uzbekistan, the company was selected as one of the most desirable employers. Selection criteria were based on the number of visitors to vacancies both listed on the company's corporate website, as well as Superjob's website.

As a result, the Carlsberg Uzbekistan corporate website received over 45,000 visitors to their recruitment section, and obtained over 140 CVs unsolicited applications. Not only was the fair an effective way to advertise the company to potential employees, it was also a reflection on the quality of Carlsberg Uzbekistan as an employer and the success of the Group's Labor and Human Rights policy.

Carlsberg Uzbekistan employs over 400 employees and is considered one of the leading FMCG sector companies; producing not only high quality products, but also offering significant career development and job training. As part of the Carlsberg Group, it recognizes that its employees are fundamental to its success.

Implementation of the Group's Labour and Human Rights policy, which commits all Carlsberg Group companies to maintaining the highest employment standards helps the Group to create workplaces where employees feel secure and are inspired to achieve their full potential. Recognition of Carlsberg Uzbekistan as one of the most desirable employers in the country is example of what can be achieved when Labor and Human Rights policies are implemented.
