Focusing on reducing energy usage for computers, lights and lower the water consumption, the campaign used posters and stickers to change the attitude of the employees. The campaign is part of a larger initiative in Carlsberg Denmark that seeks to minimize the company's water and energy usage throughout the entire company
The employee awareness campaign has focused on saving energy on computers, turning of the light; economize on water used by the employees etc. The campaign tries to create awareness on these things which are normal when people at home but often have lesser focus at work
Small steps, big impact
Although a small scale project, the change in attitude is a very important part of the overall attempt to reduce the use of energy and water in Carlsberg and lower the costs. The campaign puts emphasis on how simple things can make a big difference – for example; if employees forget to turn of their computer screens. It costs 100 DKK per year (if one forgets it every day) x 1500 computer screens in Carlsberg Denmark = 150.000 DKK per year.
