For two years in a row, Carlsberg Croatia employees in the city of Koprivnica have won the “To work without car” contest that has been running since 2001.
As part of European Mobility Week, Carlsberg Croatia took part in this week long initiative together with employees from other companies and institutions in the city. The idea was not only to find alternative ways of getting to work by leaving the car behind, but also to raise awareness of environmental issues in general and encourage participants to take an active role in their community.
Thanks to their enthusiasm and the kilometres they covered, the competition was won by Carlsberg Croatia and we are already planning to win next year’s as well. We are also working towards getting our colleagues at other breweries in Croatia to become more actively involved.
Raising awareness of environmental issues is a fundamental part of Carlsberg Group’s global strategy towards a better future.
