Carlsberg Croatia has taken an active role in a Don’t Drink and Drive campaign in the city of Zagreb as part of our policy to encourage a more responsible approach to drinking.
On the day the Tuborg Green Festival took place, Carlsberg Croatian ensured that everyone who had a Green Festival ticket had access to free public transport. Free bus rides were also organized from other major Croatian cities to Zagreb and back. The initiative was organized by Carlsberg in collaboration with the Zagreb city public transport provider (ZET) at a net cost of approximately € 3,000.
The initiative was the first of its kind organized in the city and met with a very positive reaction from the public and festival goers. Carlsberg Group intends to introduce a similar scheme at next years Tuborg Green Festival and is looking to offer free public transport at other events it sponsors.
Carlsberg Group takes an active role in encouraging responsible drinking. It is one of the key policies in our worldwide CSR program.
