In September 2007, Carlsberg Srbija took part in a campaign initiated by the famous Serbian basketball player Vlade Divac to help refugees “get a roof over their heads”.

Under the slogan “Mozes i ti”, the four month project aimed to provide proper housing for people who have been displaced from their own communities. Money collected was used to buy and refurbish abandoned rural households across the country.

Serbia has one of the highest refugee populations in Europe and the Divac Campaign attracted strong interest from local media and humanitarian groups.

Carlsberg Group's participation in the initiative with additional funding is part of our strategy towards closer community engagement wherever we work.
