In Nepal, Carlsberg has provided financial support for the local community school near our Gorkha brewery which is attended by many of our employees’ children.
Since it was established in 1990, we have made an annual donation to offer our support for the community school and we have also given funds for the construction of a new building on its premises. It has now been able to upgrade from Primary to Lower Secondary, improving the standard of education at no cost to the local community.
The positive results of this initiative have secured further funding on our part for the future and to further improve the standard of education.
Supporting the communities we work in and the welfare of our employees forms an important part of Carlsberg’s strategy on community engagement.
