Carlsberg has a long history of dedication to product quality and a high reputation for quality in the industry. Our commitment to providing a safe product and high quality is covered by our Quality Policy
At a corporate level, quality is overseen by the Carlsberg Quality Council, which has acted as the senior body responsible for delivering a high level of global quality for our brands for more than 20 years .

Our Quality department ensures that quality requirements are reflected in the standards, specifications and procedures of the Carlsberg Group. These requirements are set up to ensure that we manufacture, deliver and sell safe, high quality products. Specifically, we focus on the following aspects:

  • The Quality Policy, along with procedures for managing the quality of our brands and all specifications for raw materials, packaging materials and final products.

  • Certifying our companies in Quality Management Systems and Food Safety Systems such as the ISO 9001 standard and the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) standard.

  • Validation of all laboratories in the Group and those plants
producing our brands under license: we validate chemical, microbiological and tasting analysis.

  • Supporting the evaluation of suppliers by setting standards and procedures for auditing, as well as training auditors to carry out these roles.

  • Setting and monitoring Group-wide Quality measurements that are close to the customer and consumer:

o The consistency and freshness of the product in the marketplace.
o What our customers and consumers say: taking all feedback, including complaints seriously and acting on this.
o Achieving customer-relevant targets right first time

We do not only rely on our own resources; we actively seek advice from external experts on food safety and quality issues.
