At Carlsberg, we recognise the significant contribution that good health and safety conditions make to our overall business performance.

Our Health & Safety (H&S) Policy forms the framework which defines our overall approach to safety. The purpose of the policy is to ensure that all employees and contractors at all Carlsberg sites enjoy the same H&S standards, irrespective of where they work. By implementing these H&S standards, we aim to control potential risks to the safety of our employees and contractors. Our H&S guidelines provide further guidance for local initiatives and methods of achieving the H&S standards.

We recognise that safe operations depend not only on technically sound plants and procedures, but also on our people and their behaviour. We have developed a strong and consistent goverance system across the Group to ensure that the H&S policy is implemented and enforced and to continuously find areas where we can improve.

One of our winning behaviours is that ‘together we are stronger’. This means that we promote the idea that every one of our employees has a part to play in helping us achieve our H&S goals, and defined roles and responsibilities for H&S are an integral part of our policy. We develop tools to actively share best practices.

Implementation

All majority-owned Carlsberg Group companies are implementing the Health & Safety Policy in their daily work. Each Carlsberg Group company is developing a continuous H&S improvement programme and an annual performance plan for their production sites to reinforce their commitment to improving safety performance.
