Among others we support the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights and are a signatory of the United Nations Global Compact.

Through these commitments we seek to ensure that we conduct our business in a responsible manner, and expect our suppliers and licensees to do the same. The Carlsberg Group Supplier and Licensee Code of Conduct  has been developed to further strengthen our commitment to operating as a responsible business and improve responsible business practices in our supply chain.

The Carlsberg Group Supplier and Licensee Code of Conduct reflects the minimum standards we expect our suppliers and licensees to adhere to when doing business with the Carlsberg Group. These standards include four areas that are aligned with the Carlsberg Group's CSR policies on business ethics, labour & human rights, health & safety and the environment.

The Code of Conduct is an integral part of global supplier agreement templates, and helps us to communicate our approach and expectations in these CSR areas. By implementing the Code of Conduct we also strive to minimise the level of business risk within the supply chain, build closer relationships with our suppliers and safeguard future supply.

At Carlsberg we will continuously seek to improve together with our suppliers and help them achieve compliance with the provisions of the Code of Conduct. Our approach is based on dialogue and transparency, which we believe is vital to a successful business relationship. We are currently working on developing tools and procedures for assessing supplier performance against the Code of Conduct.
