In August 2002, Carlsberg Breweries acquired 67 per cent of the Bulgarian brewery Pirinsko Pivo. In accordance with Bulgarian legislation, Carlsberg Breweries as majority shareholder has made a public offer for the remaining share capital. As a result of the public offer, Carlsberg Breweries will acquire additional holdings of 27.5 per cent at a price of DKK 28 million (Euro 3.8 million). The acquisition brings the total shareholding to 94.5 per cent.
