Carlsberg takes over sales and distribution of Ramlösa in Denmark from 1 January 2006

Carlsberg took over the Swedish water producer Ramlösa in 2001 in connection with Carlsberg's take over of the beverage activities in Orkla.

For a number of years, the distribution of Ramlösa in Denmark has been carried out by Royal Unibrew (formerly Bryggerigruppen), but from 1 January 2006, the distribution of Ramlösa will be transferred to Carlsberg Danmark as a natural consequence of the ownership of Ramlösa.

Carlsberg Danmark is currently preparing a relaunch of Ramlösa, which, among other things, will consist of TVC's. The sell-in of Ramlösa to the company's customers has already begun and will continue during fall 2005.

Ramlösa is one of Denmark's most well-known mineral water brands, and for decades, it has held a strong position as a premium mineral water. Ramlösa has a market share of approximately 10% of carbonated mineral water.
