On 15 August 2003,Lars Påhlson, 44 years, Senior Vice President for the Nordic countries takes over the management responsibility for Carlsberg Sverige AB in order to strengthen sales and marketing in Sweden, promote the restructuring process and ensure a better utilisation of potential synergies between the Danish and Swedish businesses. Lars Påhlson continues as General Manager for Carlsberg Danmark A/S and as chairman of the Board of Directors of Ringnes a.s., Norway and Oy Sinebrychoff Ab, Finland, whereas Carlsberg Breweries' group management takes over the responsibility for the Nordic integration projects within IT, administration and procurement.

In order to relieve Lars Påhlson in Denmark, Director of LogisticsLars Krejberg Petersen, 40 years, is appointed Deputy General Manager in Carlsberg Denmark. He will still be responsible for logistics in Denmark. Carlsberg Sverige is suggesting to union representatives that Director of ProductionUlla Edling, 57 years, is appointed Deputy General Manager. She will still be responsible for production.

In Sweden, negotiations are initiated with the union representatives about the possibilities to transfer the production in Bromma near Stockholm to Falkenberg and Copenhagen and about combining certain Danish and Swedish administrative functions. A consequence of this would be that the headquarter is moved from Stockholm to Falkenberg.Joachim Cederblad, general manager of Carlsberg Sverige since 1 January 2002, does not want to move from Stockholm and therefore leaves the Group.

Lars Fellman, 60 years, Senior Vice President responsible for Carlsberg Breweries A/S' activities in Germany and Southern Europe has informed Carlsberg Breweries that he wants to resign from his position in order to move to his wife's home country, New Zealand. Since 1993, Lars Fellman has held several management positions in Carlsberg and was among other things responsible for the acquisition and the successful restructuring of the Feldschlösschen brewery in Switzerland. Until Lars Fellman retires at the end of the year, he will primarily be working on restructuring Carlsberg Breweries' Italian business.

The area of responsibility of Senior Vice PresidentBjørn Wiggen, 43 years, will extended to also include Switzerland, Italy and Germany together with his present responsibilities for Eastern Europe and the Middle East which include breweries in Poland, Croatia, Bulgaria, and Turkey. Previously, Bjørn Wiggen was general manager of Ringnes in Norway. He became a member of the management team of Carlsberg Breweries in January 2002.

Following his return to Copenhagen, Senior Vice PresidentJesper Bjørn Madsen, 49 years, takes over the responsibility for Carlsberg Breweries' activities in Asia, Portugal and Malawi together with licence agreements in 23 countries and export to more than 70 countries. Since 1995, Jesper Bjørn Madsen has worked in Asia as general manager for Carlsberg Brewery Hong Kong Ltd. and member of the Executive Board of Carlsberg Asia Pte. Ltd. Jesper Bjørn Madsen joined Carlsberg's international division in 1984. Before his assignment to Hong Kong in 1995, he was Vice President responsible for the Carlsberg activities in Asia and other subsidiaries.
