Football fans from all over the world will have the opportunity to choose the best, most spectacular or most impressing goals scored in the UEFA EURO 2008.
After each round, the Carlsberg Goal of the Day will be chosen. The UEFA Technical Committee will select three candidates among the goals scored in the round and football fans can then vote for the goal they think is the best of the round.
Subsequently, fans can choose between the seven winner goals from each of the three initial rounds, the round of the last sixteen, the quarter finals, semi finals and the final, when choosing the ultimately best goal of the UEFA EURO 2008 - the Carlsberg Goal of the Tournament.
During the tournament, all selected goals can be seen on the Carlsberg section of the UEFA website, which is also where the vote will take place.
The best goals from each championship round
But also goals scored at previous EURO championship rounds will be brought to light.
On 1 March 2008, as early as 100 days before the opening of the UEFA EURO 2008, football fans will have the opportunity to warm up to the selection of the Carlsberg Goal of the Tournament.
This will also be on UEFA’s website, which will focus on the best and most spectacular goals of each EURO championship round since 1988. Before the referee blows the whistle for the UEFA EURO 2008, football fans will have selected the winner goals of the five preceding championship rounds (1988, 1992, 1996, 2000 and 2004).
