Ringnes Brewery was founded in 1876 by Amund and Ellef Ringnes, together with investor Axel Heiberg. The brewery was a large export brewery up until the 1990s, with Ringnes Export as one of the most famous beers. Ringnes Extra Gold is a stronger version of the famous Ringnes Export.

Ringnes Extra Gold has a deep, golden colour and a strong, yet balanced aroma of malt and hops. The beer has a full mouthfeel with a rich taste of malt and hops. In addition, it has a smooth bitterness and a warming aftertaste.
