By 2030, we’ll launch partnerships to protect shared water resources across all of the nine river basins identified as priorities through our water risk assessment with WWF. In 2021, we extended our partnership with Desolenator, working together with their Indian deployment partner, EcoSoftt, to install WASH (water, sanitation and hygiene) facilities across three schools in Mysore and Alwar.
Covid-19 has highlighted the importance of WASH in combating the virus, and the existing facilities are in disrepair. By redeveloping these facilities and funding the maintenance and upkeep, we hope to improve the lives of the students there. This is just the beginning of our ambition to develop partnerships to protect shared resources across every one of the nine river basins we have identified.
In 2020, we put our commitment to safeguard shared water resources into action – bringing clean water at the turn of a tap to almost 20,000 people in Vietnam.
We worked with WWF to map our water risk across our breweries, and understand how we can prepare for a changing climate.
